Greetings!
The Park Authority has received a number of inquiries in the last few days, concerning the agenda for the March 9th Park Board meeting. There is a Facilities Committee meeting scheduled for 6:30pm, directly before the full Board meeting. The committee agenda has a number of items for Board discussion, including an update on a potential Dog Park(s). Park Board committee meetings are open to the public however these meetings are intended as "work sessions" on various ongoing projects, or specific items requested by the Board. There will be no interaction between the Board members and any visitors; questions from visitors will not be entertained at that time. Questions or comments concerning any topic that is not on the formal Board meeting agenda, may be addressed at Citizens Time during the formal Board meeting, which will commence directly after the committee meeting, at 7:30pm. We hope this will clarify the process and answer any questions concerning the March 9th agenda. Citizens are always welcome to attend any Park Authority Board meeting and we encourage your participation in the process of building an enjoyable public park system for Prince William County.
